Church Hill has some great green spaces that very few people know of, we seek to raise awareness of these and encourage the community to become friends of these spaces to bring the community together.

We have carried out and completed an in-depth and detailed consultation with the residents of Church Hill who have given their views on our plan and ideas.

Bomford Hill is Church Hill’s current largest under-used green open space located in the North of the district, it used to be a fantastic place to take a stroll, and sit to view our great town from the top, with the chance to learn what was nearby from the Toposcope. It’s also a great place to study nature.

Moon’s Moat is a designated historic landmark and the site of a former medieval moated house in Church Hill, there is a residents group called Moon’s Moat Conservation Group with whom we are working to improve this landmark for the enjoyment of everyone. See the work we have been doing here.

We’d like to see Church Hill have some fantastic green spaces that everyone can access and enjoy.

Our community consultation identified that residents wanted
more play resources for children. Although a few larger play areas were installed, many residents feel that the current play provision is inadequate, especially in Church Hill South. So we are delighted that with the help of RBC we have installed a new play area at Willow Trees Community Centre.
We are currently looking for more volunteers to join our team, please email info@chbl.org.uk if interested.
