Church Hill Big Local is looking to commission a delivery organisation to undertake a flagship legacy project on our behalf.
The project is to install a mural in the underpass leading north from Arrow Valley’s Stitch Meadow under the Coventry Highway towards Donnington Close, Church Hill.
The underpass is approx 41m x 2.9m. The vision is to install a mural covering the full height and width of both walls. The northern end of the mural will celebrate the community of Church Hill (with a particular focus on the work of Church Hill Big Local); the southern end will celebrate the environment and activities that take place in Arrow Valley Park.
The delivery organisation will be responsible for:
- Supplying or sub-contracting a Project Manager to oversee site permissions, design development, and installation of the mural in a manner consistent with the legal agreements in place with the site owners;
- Supplying or sub-contracting an experienced professional mural artist who has worked regionally or nationally, with a proven track record of developing arts projects of a similar nature;
- Ensuring that the community of Church Hill is engaged with the project and involved in the design development, inspiring interest among community groups, children and young people, providing opportunities for creative expression and encouraging emotional investment of the whole community in the success of the project;
- Ensuring that all aspects of the project are delivered in a professional manner, demonstrating the highest standards of health and safety and safeguarding practice.
The project must be completed before the start of the school summer holidays on 22nd July 2022. A budget of up to £15,000 is available (inclusive of VAT).
Interested organisations should submit a costed proposal via email to ian@chbl.org.uk before 12noon on Friday 22nd April 2022.
